another summer day with an almost 2 month old

Cormac dressed up in pirate clothes today and Mommy taught him how to say, "ARGH!"
He scared Daddy (he's a big chicken) and Cormac is now known as Anchorage's only pirate baby.
He is in need of an eye patch and a peg leg so he can scare the neighbors.

Cormac the pirate (I am trying to think of a Really good pirate name for him) also met more relatives today.
Aunt Sandra and cousins Matthew and Taylor just arrived in town and Cormac took them in with his charm and wit.
He has a great toothless grin (perfect for a pirate)

We took a long nap and then went for a walk and ended up at Rochelle and Ben's house where he met more people.
Upon returning home Cormac took another nap and then cleaned the house and did laundry.

Daddy's home! Time to dance.

7 weeks 4 days

Last night Cormac greeted the stuffed dog on his changing table with, "hi, hi, hi." The dog returned the greeting with lots of kisses.

This afternoon we went to my friend Amy's house (her baby is due in 6 weeks) and Cormac floated in the 99 degree hot tub with us. He wore a little swim diaper and let his legs float up while I held him under his arms. He loved it!

7 weeks, 1 day

So this is Cormac's blog, but since he can't type yet I'll have to do it for him.
Right now he is talking to his daddy who just got home from work! He is grinning, clapping his feet together, and saying "ahgoo." Kevin is calling him frog baby because he is wearing a frog covered onesie and he had a frog hat on today too.
Today's activites included:
sleeping late - 10:30
going to REI where Mommy bought him a BUZZ OFF bandana to use as a cover up on hikes
sitting outside and kicking off his blanket and laughing when Mommy said "Cormac Walter Elson, what are you doing?"
spitting up on Mommy
crying into the phone to Uncle Dan
walking to Carrs
walking from Carrs to Aunt Marianne and Uncle Mike's house to hang out with the family
walking home (about 6 miles total)
some crying, some sleeping, lots of diaper changes
